NTEU welcomes the changes to the National Executive made last night by President Ramaphosa. The President has shown over his first two weeks in office that he is serious about getting the country back on track.
The appointment of Naledi Pandor as Minister of Higher Education is celebrated by NTEU. We believe that with her vast experience there is no one better suited to finally bring stability and visionary leadership to the sector. We are eager to partner with the department and help navigate all the complexities that this critical sector brings with it.
NTEU also recognises the positive appointments of Minister Gordhan for Public Enterprises and Minister Nene for the office of Finance Minister.
NTEU views these as some of the first steps to a restored South Africa, strengthened for all citizens and in particular for workers.
